“Yoga teacher training changed how I view my life and helped me see where I had the power to shift, drop old ways of being, and grow. The philosophy of yoga helped me mentally in being able to recognize the stories I told myself and showed me alternate ways of viewing situations. I hope that whatever your reason for participating, that you’re ready for some breakdowns and breakthroughs, and we will be by your side throughout this journey.” – Barb

Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t plan to teach yoga after graduation; will I have to teach in the training?
Yes. Our goal is to prepare you for whatever yoga journey you take after graduation. While some don’t wish to teach after the program ends, we must still ensure you are prepared to teach in order to hold the designation of Yoga Teacher.
Will I be able to teach at Belmont Yoga once I finish the program?
While we would love to hire every graduate who completes our program, you are not guaranteed a teaching position at Belmont Yoga upon graduation. Those who are considered for hire at BY must audition and go through an interview process if there are open positions at the studio. We are happy to guide you in finding yoga teaching positions around the area.
Can I miss sessions? What if I have to back out of the program?
By registering for this program, you are committing your availability to the listed meeting dates and times. You are responsible for making up the work from a missed session and any additional fees associated with extra meetings with lead teachers. If you have to back out of the program altogether, you will only receive a refund on pre-payments if the program has not yet begun. Your $300 deposit is non-refundable.
Am I guaranteed to graduate and receive a certificate of completion?
Participants who show commitment and put time and practice into the training, including attending all live sessions, completing projects on time and displaying a willingness to learn and grow will do well in the program. If you have missed sessions, fail to complete assignments or exams, or are unable to pay your tuition balance you may not receive your certificate of completion.
How do I know if this training is a good fit for me?
Choosing a yoga teacher training program is a big decision! It’s important to ensure the values of our program align with your vision of yoga before moving forward. Feel free to attend one of our free information sessions (top of the page) this fall so we can answer your questions and help you make a more informed decision about your yoga journey. Potential attendees are also encouraged to attend studio classes to learn more about Belmont Yoga to help guide your decision.
