“I started taking Yoga classes when I was 23 and living in New York City. During that stage of my life, I needed a place where I could work through my emotions – to literally move through them and detangle. I found deep, transformational healing because I was able to freely embody what I was feeling. Guidance through fluid, music-driven sequencing massively affected my life – something that sounds so simple, but had profound impact. I found space for release, but I also experienced greater confidence, expanded self-awareness, and a sense of self-trust that was so unfamiliar to me. I had a tool that helped me relate and respond to difficulty.

After the first few classes I took, I was sure I wanted to teach, but it wasn’t until a couple of years later that I enrolled in a 200-hour teacher training. Right after completing YTT with Y7 in 2022, I signed up for their 50-hour Mentorship Empowerment course and quit my corporate job to start teaching full time. I was so inspired and excited to teach to others something that strengthened my relationship with myself. Being a student and teacher of this practice continues to be the most fulfilling thing I have ever done.

Now, I balance teaching yoga with my corporate job in digital marketing. Part of my journey has been arriving at the understanding that those two roles can coexist and support each other.

Outside of yoga, my passions are traveling, going to concerts, rollerblading, taking pictures, writing, skiing, and hiking through national parks. I also teach Pilates and practice Thai Yoga Bodywork – one of my favorite things to offer!
