“I’ve always been a busy busy busy body in motion: hiking, running, moving, kayaking, dancing, climbing…working corporate retail for 10 years, you name it, I am not a “sitter.” I don’t care what it is, I’ll try it.
I found yoga during 2020 while the whole world was about to shut down…and all of the sudden I felt a deep desire to change pretty much everything in my life. I took a new job that was remote, behind a desk for the first time in my entire adult life, and was stir crazy. I was crawling out of my skin: completely isolated from being out in the world, nowhere to put my energy. A co-worker invited me to my first class at Lenny Boy Brewery, and I was hooked. My career and life in general was quickly changing around me, and the only thing I could count on was that 10am Saturday class. The world eventually got back to normal, but I didn’t. I was radically shifting what I wanted out of life and how I wanted to move through it, and yoga became a massive influence on that vision.
I quickly dove (buried myself?) into the practice and completed my 300 YTT in 2022 under the direction of Tai Dorn, who introduced me to Jivamukti yoga and the love of a truly fire playlist. I love to read about anything and everything involving the body, and try to take as many workshops as I can. I love learning from other teachers and students, no matter what the topic is, I’m just happy to take a brain-dive. Rocks? YES. Arm balances? Sure. The moon? Count me in.
When I’m not practicing or working my day job, you can find me outside in general in any weather, on a walk, at a concert, or learning how to skateboard.
For me, the community aspect of yoga is something I cherish. The inner work we do is so vital, but the community is a sacred web holding us all together.
Can’t wait to meet ya, see you real soon.”
